President/CEO

As a founding member in 2003, Dewayne brings more than 22 years of IT industry experience to his role as President/CEO of Divergys. In addition to numerous Microsoft sales and technical certifications, he specializes in management and leadership as well as sales and marketing. Prior to starting Divergys, he held various IT positions at small and large companies and also served as a Microsoft Certified Trainer teaching certification classes to IT professionals in the greater Houston area. Dewayne and his wife Raquel have been married for more than 20 years and have 2 daughters, Shelby and Sara. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, bow and rifle hunting for whitetail deer, riding 4 wheelers, online gaming, golf and spending time with his family.

Raquel Chappell

CFO

As a founding member in 2003, Raquel brings more than 22 years of accounting and finance experience to her role as CFO of Divergys. Raquel earned her degree in marketing and finance and really enjoys working with the numbers and finding the best deals possible on products for our clients. In her free time she enjoys traveling, bow and rifle hunting for whitetail deer, riding 4 wheelers, golf, zip lining and spending time with her family.

Randy Hamman

Randy Hamman

Sales Professional

Randy earned his degree in Electrical Engineering and joined Divergys in March of 2011 bringing over 22 years of experience in high-end technology sales and customer support. Randy began as a technician making board level repairs on Macintosh and PC computers. He started his sales career in 1989 in the printing industry selling imaging technologies. He loves to work with and help people solve their problems and streamline business functions. At Divergys he brings all of his experience and wants to make a valuable difference for his clients. In his free time Randy is a devoted husband to his wife Dawn and father of 3 wonderful daughters Elizabeth, Nicole and Stephanie. He loves to play golf, racquet ball and Texas Holdem. He also has an interest in restoring classic muscle cars.

Cheryl Engle

Cheryl Engle

Administrative Assistant

Cheryl joined Divergys in July 2010 and brings over 5 years of administrative and scheduling experience to her role as Administrative Assistant of Divergys. Cheryl is the voice of Divergys as she handles all incoming phone calls and the scheduling of all service tickets with clients. In addition to being the voice of Divergys, she keeps everyone in the office on task, organized and motivated. Cheryl also enjoys creating all of our marketing materials using Photoshop. In her free time, she enjoys spending all her time with her significant other Colt and her two kids Diva (dog) and Kitty (cat) as well as riding her motorcycle (250 Ninja) and doing anything outdoors except hunting.

Tom Andrews

Tom Andrews

Field Services Manager

As a founding member in 2003, Tom brings more than 13 years of IT industry experience to his role as Field Services Manager of Divergys. In addition to numerous Microsoft and other vendor certifications he specializes in customer service and managing the Field Services team as well as all technical projects. Tom is the go to guy for all the toughest technical issues whether it’s on a server, workstation, router or firewall. Tom and his wife Gloria have been married for more than 20 years, have a daughter Katie and son Will. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, attending and listening to Astros and Texans games, and is very active in his local Knights of Columbus council.

Shawn Lane

Shawn Lane

Network Engineer

Shawn joined Divergys in July 2009 fresh from the deserts of Afghanistan and brings over 10 years of IT industry experience to his role as Network Engineer of Divergys. In addition to a Microsoft MCTS certification, he specializes in the design, maintenance, implementation and integrity of internal monitoring and ticketing systems as well as client facing cloud applications. Prior to joining Divergys, he held various IT and telecom related positions within the US Army. In his free time, he enjoys being with his wife Ashlee, son Jakoby, and daughter Shaylee. Shawn also enjoys hunting, riding his motorcycle, gaming, his Toyota Tundra and racing his quad on MX tracks.

Tim Thompson

Tim Thompson

Field Engineer

Tim earned his degree in Electronics Engineering and joined Divergys in February of 2011 bringing over 13 years of IT industry experience to the team. Tim currently holds the Microsoft MCSE, Cisco CCNA and the Security + IT certifications and has held various IT positions with companies such as Compaq, Dell and Shell. Tim helps Divergys’ clients protect their computers from online threats, utilize technology to its fullest, solve their network problems and implement their technical projects. In his free time, he enjoys bowling, golf, reading and gaming.
