Welcome to the fall 2023 edition of Houston Leadership Journal.

As some of you may know, October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month. To celebrate, we are currently working on new and improved cybersecurity offerings for 2024, including AI for end-point protection and AI for internal network monitoring.

I certainly realize there’s good and bad to AI. It does get scary in some respects, and if you remember the show iRobot, that might be coming sooner than we think. But there are an abundance of good aspects to it, too. From a cybersecurity standpoint, we can use computer learning in order to prevent and stop attacks faster. The cybercriminals are using it, so we need to use it too in order to stay ahead and keep our businesses secure so they can grow and thrive.

To help your business get to where it’s going, we’ve enclosed in this issue articles from thought leaders like FBI hostage negotiator Chris Voss; Discovery Channel’s Dirty Jobs host, Mike Rowe; and world-class customer service consultant John DiJulius, whose insights, when applied correctly, can help your business grow and thrive. We are also happy to share with you our client success story on page 8. And finally, on page 15, we illustrate the importance of cybersecurity training for your employees with some shocking statistics. We then provide a framework for engaging them in the training process using interactive activities.

Speaking of success, last quarter, we were proud to be featured on the cover of MSP Cybersecurity Magazine: A Special Edition of MSP Success as thought leaders in the cybersecurity industry. You can grab your copy of this special edition at our humble office or find the online version at www.divergys.com/msp-cybersecurity/.
